Ronja Helénsdotter

Hello! I am a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Economics, University of Gothenburg, and a research fellow at the Centre for Economic Performance, London School of Economics. In July 2024, I will join MIT as a Wallenberg Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow. In 2026, I will join the IIES at Stockholm University.

My research focuses on addressing policy-relevant questions at the intersection of labor, health, law, and crime using quasi-experimental methods and high-quality data. I am especially interested in inequality of opportunity and the role of institutions - such as the judicial system - in shaping and mitigating inequality.

Primary Field: Labor Economics

Secondary Fields: Health Economics, Law and Economics, Economics of Crime
